Tanausu Luis was born in 1981 in Icod de Los Vinos, Tenerife and, encouraged by his parents, begins very early to study guitar. At the Conservatory of Santa Cruz de Tenerife meets Ines Delgado Mesa who encouraged him to go to study outside of the Canary Islands so to expand his musical horizons.
He moves to Salamanca where he attends the Conservatory in the class of Hugo Geller and, in 2006, he graduates with honors. Thanks to Maestro Alberto Rosado learn to love chamber and contemporary music.
Later attendes numerous advanced courses including one at the University Mozarteum in Salzburg (Austria), where he specialize in guitar and in chamber music repertoires.
Together with Alejandro Diaz Bandrés, Kostas Tosidis and Giorgos Pervolarakis founds in Salzburg in 2007 the “Miscelanea Guitar Quartet”, meanwhile continues his studies with various teachers including: Marco Tamayo, Eliot Fisk, Ricardo Gallo and Martin Mumelter; In 2009 graduates from the University Mozarteum.
With Miscelanea Guitar Quartet wins numerous awards and records an album in 2009 which was published in 2012 by the label Arsis.
Tanausu is very active in teaching and performs regularly at international festivals throughout Europe and the United States.
Since 2011 brings forward his solo project with acoustic guitar
