The SOL-technology (Solid One direction Layers) has been developed by Schertler for it’s guitar’s back and sides.

To increase the sustain and the sonority, we have used solid wood reinforced with mineral fiber (0.02mm). Thanks to the equal wood fiber direction of the single layers the vibration properties are not limited as for ex. in plywood. The mineral fiber gives to the entire construction a higher E-modul, augmenting the sound velocity with less damping.

The result is a quick response and transparent, more concrete sounding guitar.
