Stephan Schertler’s original bridge-mounted STAT-B electrostatic sensor is a simple system that effectively reproduces the complex tone of the double bass and also works with any bass amplifier.

STAT-B is remarkable for its high resistance to feedback, making it an ideal system for rock, jazz or fusion performances with high levels of amplification. The STAT-B-VINTAGE version includes two transducers, providing a greater sense of space and richness of sound.


The standard STAT-B SET/VINTAGE-SET includes pickup, cable and battery-powered STAT-PRE preamp with volume control. STAT-B-PRO/VINTAGE-PRO includes the sophisticated YELLOW SINGLE preamp, while the STAT-B-ROAD/VINTAGE-ROAD includes Schertler’s flagship YELLOW BLENDER.  Both preamps come with regulated AC power supply.
