Theo Pascal is one of Portugal's most talented musician and composer of the Jazz-World Music area. He plays from the age of 13 years and has done a large number of tours in Europe, North America, Africa and Asia enviable, both as a soloist and in various formations.
As bassist and musical director has participated in festivals worldwide including, among others: North Sea Jazz Festival, the Red Sea Jazz Festival, Holland Showcase at Womex, Montreal Jazz Festival, San Francisco Jazz Festival, Kennedy Center USA , Barbican UK, Macao Arts Festival-Asia and then South Korea, Canada and many others.
Intense the activity in the studio as a session musician, has produced more than 20 CDs with many artists. Portuguese, Africans, Brazilian of the world music, jazz and fusion. In particular Theo acts in close cooperation with the singer Carmen Souza, countrymen by birth but originally from Capo Verde, where he is artistic director, composer and producer. For she has composed and produced almost all of the songs, both in the studio and on tour, alongside musicians such as Bob Mintzer, Dave Weckl and Tom Kennedy.
Theo has released two solo albums; "Quamundus" in 2001 and "Movente" in 2005 both highly appreciated by public and the critics.
Also active in the field of television and radio has composed many jingles for advertising and in 2002 he was producer / musical director in the political campaign of Durao Barroso, elected on that occasion, Prime Minister of Portugal and now president of the European Commission.
