Alberto Caltanella


A guitarist composer.
His compositions contain both northern and southern influences, with a sound that combines hints of the Celtic tradition, a strong Mediterranean flavor touched with Blues and echoes of the Italian folk tradition; the style is what is known as "creative strumming".
He has performed in Great Britain and in Germany and participated in a number of acoustic festivals such as the Acoustic Guitar International Meeting of Sarzana, Acoustic Franciacorta, Madame Guitar, Soave Guitar Festival, Musikmesse, Galliate Master Guitar, Un Paese a Sei Corde, ADGPA Convention, Bachmann Acoustic Festival

He participated in the Roxy Bar with Red Ronnie. He is the creator and artistic director of the Venice Strings guitar festival in Venice.
He has two CDs as a soloist out, entitled “L'albero della vita Tree of life” (2010), “Il profumo dell'acqua” (The Scent of Water) (2006) and participated in the fingerpicking.net recording projects “34 Volte Amore” (Love Times 34) (2009) and “36” (2004).
