Duncan Hopkins


Born in Great Britain Duncan Hopkins is a double bass player, arranger and educator who currently lives in Toronto, Canada.

He is considered one of most original and promising talents of jazz and, apart from its projects, he work with the best and most successful artists of the moment. Among the most significant collaborations we can mention: Dianna Krall, Mark Murphy, Norma Winstone, Lester Bowie, Kenny Wheeler, John Hicks, Peter Appleyard, Ken Peplowski, Ed Bickert, DD Jackson, Scott Hamilton, Houston Person, Warren Vache, Sam Rivers, George Masso, Tony Malaby, Bobo Stenson and Robert Farnon arrangers and Ralph Carmichael and Rob McConnell.

Quite often on tour, Duncan also plays an intense teaching activity.
